Hunt/Kilburn/Crandell

Searching for information on Henry Ransom Kilburn. Recently found a letter from a great Aunt stating that Henry came to America directly from England at 3 years of age. That his mother was named Sarah and was a Hunt and that Henry had a stepfather. Word has it that he came through New York – but have also heard that they may have immigrated directly in CT.

Henry's mother was a Sarah b. c. 3/1810 - but we have Crandall as her name when she died in our Kilburn family bible. This was supposively in or near Hannibal MO in 6/12/1860. Maybe she remarried to a Crandell – Henry’s step father??

Henry Ransom Kilburn - b. 6/8/1831 d. 5/27/1910
married Sophia Henrietta Wharram 1853

Henry's son:
Robert Lawson - b. 4/12/1865 d. 5/9/1941
married Mary Evelyn Carter

ALSO… Recently found a Henry Kilburn christened on 11/3/1831 in Yorkshire England, born to a Sarah and John Kilburn. The Sarah was Christened 5/2/1810. These dates coincide with dates we’ve received listed above. But there is limited information on the John from Yorkshire England. Henry Ransom did have several children – one named Robert (Sarah Hunt’s father was Robert Hunt) and one named John (Henry’s father). This may just be coincidence – but I think I am getting close – does anyone have any info that would support this – or deny it??

The Sarah Hunt located on Jesus Christ – Church of Latter Day Saints web page’s father was Robert Hunt b. 1770 in Wilts, England and Married Mary Horsell b. 1774 on 24th of May, 1795.

Any input appreciated!!
