George S. Crandall -s/o John (1811-1891) and Eunice Covert (1811-1868) and grandson of Ira (1785-1860) and Teba (Pease) Crandall from New York. George's older brother Edward b. 1833 in New York while George and his younger siblings were born in Michigan and included Augustus, Wm H., Mary Jane and Ada.Ira was the s/o John and Amy (Keeler) and the grandson of Azariah (1739-1808) and Rebecca (Reynolds) Crandall.Both Azariah and Rebecca b. Stoningham, New London, CT and died in Beekman, Duchess Co., New York.
Azariah was a member of Duchess Co., Militia, 3rd Regiment commanded by John Fields.He was also a signer of the Articles of Association of Duchess Co., NY in 1775.
