I'm assembling information for Lyon Township on its residents involved in the Civil War. I know very little about George Crandall:

Crandal or Crandall, George S. of Lyon, Mich., c.1834 born; Aug. 11, 1862 enlisted at Lyon as pvt., Co. H, 22nd Mich. Infantry Rgt. Sept. 20, 1863 killed at Chickamauga, Ga. and buried in Salem-Walker Cemetery at Salem, Mich.
