His information in the 1949 John C. Crandall Genealogy.

There is a discrepancy between what is in the Crandall genealogy and what I found in the records in Dade County, Missouri as to his wife's name and death date.

In his will he names her as Harriett Eliza, not Mira Harriett.

Also the Crandall book says her death date was 1895.
I found her and her spouse in the 1860 census. Crandall book said she died in 1895 so searched and searched for her in the 1870 and 1880 census. No sign of her, even living with her kids.

In the probate records it showed that the land was sold off in 1865. Wondered why she would not still be on it, with or without one of their kids. Went to the genealogy society iin Dade County. They had burial records, and sure enough there was a Harriet Crandall who died in 1865, with a stone near the stone of David Crandall.

So what I am figuring is that there was a typo in the crandall book and a 9 was put where a 6 should be.
