David Selah CRAMPTON was the son of Andrew and Wealthy (Hickox) CRAMPTON. Dennis CRAMPTON, the immigrant ancestor of many Cramptons and Cramtons in North America, was his third-great-grandfather. He was born in Ferrisburg, Addison County, Vermont on 9/29/1802 and died at Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont on 8/24/1836. He was buried in the Dorman Cemetery. He married Lovina ABELL on 4/30/1825. Mrs. Lovina Abell CRAMPTON's birthdate was 8/10/1801 and her date of death was 8/25/1890. Three children were born to David Selah and Lovina (Abell) CRAMPTON. Albert CRAMPTON was born on 3/15/1827 and died on 4/17/1891 at Green Island, Albany County, New York. Ellen S. CRAMPTON was born on 2/27/1829 and Caroline C. CRAMPTON was born on 8/11/1835.
