I'm continuing my research in MO, but do not have resources for MO where I live and it will be a slow process. I found a John Thomas CRAIGHEAD on IGI on the FamilySearch LDS web site. He was born 11/7/1866 in Callaway (Co?) MO and his parents were John Alexander CRAIGHEAD and Elizabeth M. ADAIR. John Thomas CRAIGHEAD's grandson, my father, was Ronald ADAIR Craighead. I have found a few John Alexander CRAIGHEADs in Ohio, which I have no proof was John Thomas' father. On the IGI I found a John Alexander CRAIGHEAD born 11/21/1836 of Chillicothe, OH. His parents were John CRAIGHEAD and Maria Louisa GORDON. On different IGI matches for the same names of John Alexander CRAIGHEAD and having the same parents of John CRAIGHEAD and Maria Louisa GORDON were the following: born 11/27/1836 Fairview OH; 9/23/1839 Fairview OH; and 9/23/1839 Portsmouth OH.
I found about 10 Elizabeth ADAIRs in Kentucky, one of these might be the mother of my John Thomas Craighead.
