Hi I compared your markers, and it looks like there is a 13 marker difference at the 67 marker level test. That is considered too much of a difference for FTDna to list it as a match. Of course this is all based on their standard assumptions for DNA mutation rates. Perhaps if you both refined to the newer 111 marker test, and you didn't have any more deviations, then you could have a strengthened odds of a match. That actually happened to one of my matches. We were same surname, same county. We matched 31/37, we upgraded to 67, and matched 61/67, so suddenly we were a match. So a match is still a possibility. Have you been in touch with the Kit # 157262 to see if his history is comparable to yours? Notify Administrator about this message?
