I will give it a couple more days and then try again. I really appreciate your responses to me and your assistance. From the information you provided, i have been able to go back many generations on various lines of Ottie Dove Cottle Craig, and although i thought i would find Native American ancestry for her, that has not happened. Now i am hoping to get back farther on the Craig line...John Harvey Craig was son of John Taylor Craig and Sarah Little McKnight i think, and i think JTC was son of James H. Craig and Elisabeth Lloyd (she was from England), and i think JHC was son of William Craig and a wife named Eizabeth. Perhaps the family legend of Native American ancestry comes through the McKnight line or from one of one of James H, Craig's parents...or perhaps it is only a legend with no actual Native American lineage.
