James Craig - Cambridge, ON
Posted by: Julia Baird (ID *****7454) Date: June 26, 2009 at 09:03:37

I am searching for more information about my Great-Great-Great Grandfather, and information about his parents and family (since we know nothing).

His name was James Craig and that is pretty much all that is known about him, other than he spent at least part of his life in the Cambridge, Ontario area.

We do know more about his wife, Margaret Rankin.
1771 - January 17, 1847

Her tombstone is found in the Pioneer Pergola [http://www.waterlooogs.ca/cemeterypics/Pergola.html] in St. Andrew's Park in Cambridge, Ontario (99 Lansdowne Road North).

I have found a mention online that his tombstone is found there as well, but when I went, I saw that he was mentioned as Margaret's husband on her stone, with no additional information about him (so I can only imagine that he had his own gravestone)

I'm going to keep searching, but I thought I'd post as well in case there is a helpful person out there with the information I'm looking for!
