Thanks. I had been looking at the Israel/Isaac for possible connections. Have often thought that this is a family with secrets. It may be a census taker who can't read his own notes.
Anne/Annie may actually be Angeline. My clue was that Joseph in the 1920 census has named his daughter Angeline, which would be his mother's real name. If it were a common name, I might pass on the idea, but Angeline is not common.
Second clue is the Israel Craig death in Wellsville, Ohio. That is not a large town.
My husband IS connected to this family thru Caroline "Carrie" Craig and Homer Otho Peck.
I did find the obit for George in the East Liverpool paper, and was able to figure out which of his sibs were surviving after March 1951.
There seems to be a lot of confusion or resistance about changing their birthplaces from Virginia to West Virginia. It is not just in this family.
