March 13, 1951 East Liverpool Review (East Liverpool, Ohio) Deaths and Funerals Ex-Wellsville Craneman Dies Rites to be Thursday For George Craig, 57 George Craig, 57, former Wellsville millworker, died Monday morning in the Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville, following several days' illness. Mr. Craig was born in Hartford City, W.VA., and lived in Wellsville for many years while a crane operator at the former plant of the American Sheet & Tin Plate Co. For the past 16 years he was employed in the Electrical Department at the Steubenville Works of the Wheeling steel Corp. He lived with his sister, Mrs. Della Kinne at Steubenville. He leaves two other sisters, Mrs. Carrie Peck of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Mary Blanker of Monongahala, Pa.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Edith Smith and Mrs. Ethel Rowley of Wellsville, and Mrs. Rebecca Sword of Martins Ferry; three step-sons, William Petty and Raymond Petty of Wellsville, and Oral Petty of Lisbon and one grandchild. The body was brought to the MacLean funeral Home in Wellsville for rites Thrusday at 2 p.m. by Lieutenant kenneth Lance fo Steubenville Salvation Army. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Wellsville. Friends may call Wednesday night at the funeral home. . . . . . .
