In fact James Craig and Jane Wood had two sons called Hugh. According to my records, the elder Hugh was born in 1824 and died on 26 May 1824 and the younger one was born on 21 Aug 1828 at Blackwood and died 7 Aug 1899 at House of Water Farm, New Cumnock.
