I hope that someone can provide information to help me establish my family connection.
The link that I am trying to make is the parents of Matilda Craig who m. Moses Latta 25 Sept 1827 in Maury Co. Moses's brother John m. Louisa Craig (half sister to Matilda according to Latta family history but no parential info). I have Matilda's age listed as 44 in the 1850 census and 52 in 1860c. of
Maury Co and her birthplace listed as Tennessee. This would make her birth abt 1807.
I had assumed that her father was William Craig 210201-32110 1820 census; as he is on
the same page #38 of 1820c as the Latta family although this means nothing in itself.
I also show the following from the 1812 Maury Co Tax List.
These are the sons of David Craig from Orange Co NC

Johnson Craig 500a
William Craig 530a
These are the son and grandsons of James who died in Blount Co 1n 1802
and they moved here in 1805

I am not so sure but believe him to be son of James from Orange Co NC.
