Ellen (baptized Helen) Craib, a minor, married William Orme McRobie, 14 Jan 1859, St Gabriel Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada (source, church document). First child, John George McRobie, was born 23 Dec 1859 (source, church document). Other children were Helen, William, Maria, Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth, Bella and Lorne who died in infancy. They remained in Montreal until 1882, then moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where William McRobie was the Chief of the Fire Department, he died in 1908 and Helen died abt 1930. Both are buried, in the Elmwood Cemetery. Helen was born in Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland abt 1842.
I'd sure like to find someone in this Craib/Crabbe line.
