I have come to beleive that the story about George and Sally Martin coming to the USA by way of New Orleans to be a fable.
I beleive George Crago was a brother to my great great grandfather John Crago. They would be sons of Thomas Crago and a Miss Pertie who left the area of the Redstone River in Pa. and floated down the Ohio River to the mouth of the Scioto River and than went up the river to the area where Pikton is now. This tomas brought with him his sons, Thomas, John,James and George plus a daughter Deborah.
George married Sally Martin in Ross County, Ohio and went to a part of Va. which is now WV. For more information contact me.
