I have Katherine Ward married Robert Craghead 1736 in Baltimore. Their son John Craghead (b. 1740 Chesterfield Va,d.1808 Franklin County Va) married Jane Dicia (or Leodicea) Maxey (b. 1737 Lynchburg Va, d.before 1791) in Bedford County in 1763. Their son John Craghead Jr.(b.25 Sept 1774,d.24Jan 1859) married Sally (or Sarah) Powell (b. 1776,d.1876) on Jan 2 1794. John Jr. and Sallie built the Craghead home on the Staunton River (now Smith Mountain Lake) and are buried nearby. I have pictures of the home and of the weathered gravestones.
