Hi Josh,
On the copy of his death certificate I have it has his name change on it. He owned a cafe in Douglas Arizona. it has his cause of death from pnuemonia.

I can send you a copy for comparison with yours if you wish.

Here is a copy of an obit someone very kindly looked up for me.

In the Douglas Daily Dispatch on December 29th 1921 the following article appeared;

John C. tyler, for many years a resident of this
county and for the past 6 years employed by
John B. Hart in his cafe, died yesterday morning
at 9 o'clock. Death was caused by a stoke of
apoplexy, which attacked him Thursday while he
was at work in the cafe.
Decedent was 55 years old, and is survived by
a 15-year-old daughter living withan aunt, Mrs
Sarah Armstrong at Machias, N. Y. He was a
32nd degree Mason and it is considered probable
that this order will have charge of the funeral
arrangements, although no action will be taken
until the arrival of the daughter and her aunt.
Before coming to Douglas a little more than six
years ago, the decedent was a resident of Bisbee.
He was always cheerful and amiable despite the
fact that his health has been poor for the past few
years. He probably has as many friends in this
county as any one man. Mrs. Tyler died in Olean
N. Y. about 15 years ago.
End quote

Hope this helps
