Ashmore 1943 in Warwick, Warwickshire Son of :- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joseph Cadvan Craddock Born 8th May 1896 at Gwalia, Towyn, Machynlleth, Wales Married Florence Edith Marshall (born 15th July 1895) on 18th June 1918. Florence died 25th April 1919 one day after child birth. Interred at Lodge Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Grave 554 section D12 (private purchased plot for 100 years by Joseph then living at 69, Healy Rd., Bournebrook, Birmingham ) Emigrated to Australia 1919 ( re married, one daughter (Jo Craddock) and 2 sons, the eldest killed in WW2) Died in 1964 at age 68 if bowel cancer Son of:- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Francis Joseph Craddock Born 28th Feb. 1861 back 113 Moseley St., Birmingham, Warwickshire. Moved to Towyn (Tywyn) Gwalia Rd., Merioneth in 1889 Possibly died in 1902 at the age of 42 maybe from heavy drinking. Occupation :- In the 1881 census listed as a Japanner of 43 Fleet St, Birmingham (living with parents) He is listed in the Kelly's directory for 1888 as a Gilder at 79 Cooksey Rd., Small Heath Birmingham. In the 1891 census in Towyn Wales he is listed as (Scenic ?) 'artist, landscape, sculptor', and on the 1896 birth cert. of Joe Cadvan described as a Journeyman , Gilder in enamel works. Married 27th May 1885 to Elizabeth Walton Born 1864 in Birmingham ,Staffordshire. Married 'according to the 'rites and ceremonies of the Catholic Church' in St Chads Cathedral Birmingham. Children :- Born In Birmingham .. Francis William in 1889 Born in Towyn ...... Florence Elizabeth 2/11/1889 : John James 6/8/1893: Joseph Cadvan 8/5/1896 :George Patrick 17/3/ 1898 (died young) Son of :- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Craddock born 30th Nov. 1830 at Haselor ,Warwickshire. Baptised 5th Dec. 1830 (from the Roman Catholic registers for Coughton. (God parents, Job his uncle and Mary Craddock his grandmother ?) Moved to Studley and then to Birmingham. Occupation :- 1851 Labourer , Sambourn Parish of Coughton, Warwickshire Listed on the 1881 census as a Warehouseman living at 43 Fleet St., Birmingham. On the 1861 census as a Porter living at 1, Albert Place back of Moseley St., Birmingham. Married 13th October 1852 in the Catholic chapel of Coughton (district of Alcester) to Mary Ann Upton (servant) born Brewood Staffordshire, She was baptised 27th Aug 1829, daughter of Thomas and Maria Upton. Possibly illiterate as on the birth cert. of Francis Joseph she was only able to 'make her mark'. Children:- Born in Studley Warwickshire.... George Thomas Born in Birmingham... Frances M. in 1856 : Bernard in 1858 : William in 1867 : Francis Joseph (as above) Son of:- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Craddock born Wilmcote ,Warwickshire on 22nd June 1800 Agricultural labourer living in the village of Gt. Alne, Warwickshire (1851 census) Married Frances Taylor 18th Jan 1830 at Alcester. She may have died in childbirth ,buried 27th April 1833 aged 25 (Haselor burial register). Children:- John as above and William Craddock ,died 30th June 1833 aged 11 weeks. Married again to a Maria Parker at Coughton on 21st Nov. 1834 Son of :- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Craddock of Wilmcote, Warwickshire, baptised at Ettington ? 2nd March 1763, buried Aston Cantlow 6th Dec. 1829 Married to Mary Harris at Aston Cantlow, 17th Oct.1795 (buried Aston Cantlow 2nd March 1836) Children :- Job 11th Sept. 1796: Letitia 12th June 1799 :George (as above) : William 15th May 1803: John 5th Oct. 1806 :-listed on the 1851 Census (at age 45) for Aston Cantlow as shepherd and servant :William 15th Jan. 1809. The possible daughter of one of these sons is listed on the 1851 Census of Wilmcote as Elizabeth aged 13, servant.
Son of. At this point there seems to be two William Craddocks' both lived within six miles of each other and both married Marys' possible marriages Children of the Ettington family (baptism dates) Burials at Ettington
