Sharon,
I do not know if there is a connection. The Craddocks in East Tennessee were never many and none of them went to Illinois to my knowledge. The Kentucky and Middle Tennessee Craddocks are probably better bets. They were apparently all descended from the same family in Amelia and Nottoway Counties, VA. If I find a connection I will pass it on.
