There was a John Craddock who appeared very early in the Nashville, TN area. The marriages for his children appear in the records there and in Wilson Co. TN beginning before 1800. You might check him out.

Also, in my Craddock line was David Craddock who came to Greene Co., TN about 1783 from Amelia Co., VA. He had two sons born there named William and John and a brother named John. William is well documented but John (the son) is not. There are no marriage or tax records of him after abt. 1818 in Greene Co. for John. He is another possible candidate maybe. Some people have thought that the John Craddock in Davidson Co. TN (Nashville) was David's older brother, but I have not seen the proof.
