CRADDOCKS IN LA. AND MISS.

Looking for information abt. Roxan "Little Fox" Craddock b. abt 1818/1820 in Mississippi and married Sylvanus W. Shumway before 1842. They lived in Southeast Louisiana ie..Tangipohoa Parish, Livingston Parish, St. Tammany Parish. Family tradition says she was native American and met and married Sylvanus in New Orleans. Supposedly there is a record of this marriage there, but I can't find it. They had twelve children. Some of the older family members remember that their ancestors were eligible for some benefits alloted to Native Americans. Any clues will be appreciated.
