I am posting this message again as I had put an incorrect email addres.
I am looking for information on John and
Mary Ann Cracknell who emmigrated to Nw Zealand in 1841 on the ship 'Catherine Stewart Forbes' whisch left from Gravesend, London.
They also took with them a 9 yr boy - William - from his previous marriage.
John Cracknell was supposedly a coachman to a family and eloped with a daughter - Mary Ann. Mary Ann's family were probably French.
