I am trying to trace members of my grandfather's family.
My grandfather's name was Arthur Cracknell and he was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England 13th September 1897.
He was the youngest of 13 children (we think) and he went to serve in France in the first world war. When he returned his parents had died and he lost touch with his older siblings.
His father was John Charles Cracknell and his mother was Pricilla Ann Thorpe.
I believe one of his brothers became mayor of Norwich and another owned a garage on the outskirts of the city at one time.
Can anyone help?
