I am seeking information on Samuel Crabtree b.1764 New London Bedford Co. Va. son of John Crabtree 1732-1802 & Hannah Butcher 1735-1772 he married Sara Markham b.1772 on Dec. 7, 1790 Washington Co. Va. They had the following children:
1.Thomas Crabtree
2. Dorcas Crabtree
3. Jesse Crabtree
4. Samuel Crabtree
5. James Crabtree
6. Hyram Crabtree
I think he died abt 1840 Wayne Co. Kentucky. Most of his children can be found with their families living in Fentress Co. Tn. I am really curious as to how his family all came to Fentress Tn. & him in Wayne Ky. His wife was in the 1850 census living with daughter Dorcas in Fentress. Any history on Sam would be greatly appreciated. I have lots of info on his father and his son Jesse, I descend from Jesse 1798-1880 and Elizabeth Smith, their son Absolom & Louisa Jane Cooper, their son James & Martha Ann Spradlin and their son Elijah & Laura Foster. Jesse & Absolom were known Crabtree Counterfeiters and both served jail time. Thanks...
