married John GALLOP 19 January 1617 in St. Mary's, Mosterton, Dorset, England.
John GALLOP died 11 January 1649 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
Dr. Cheeseman said the Crabbs of Dorset County, England and Cornwall County, England, were proven enemies and there were no Crabb intermarriages between the two counties.
Dr. Cheeseman and a John Gallop direct descendant Mariah Lawson of Tennesee were concerned because of a Mary Crabb "of Castlewich, Cornwall, England" married John Gallop, LDS Film 0990392, item 6, The Visitations of the County of Cornwall, 1620 Crabb of Castlewich, pp. 577-579.
This is not the 3 generation original 1620 Visitation of
John Crabb of Callington, Cornwall, England that is in possession of the College of Arms.
And the original does not have a Mary Crabb marrying a John Gallop of Dorset County, England.
There is no such town as Castlewich in Cornwall County, England. The correct word is Castlewecke and it means the King's Camp where the King's Men will take a census of those loyal to the King and the people present their genealogy as proof of their loyalty. The town the Crabb family lived in is Callington, Cornwall County, England.
