Dee Ann did a great deal of fine work to shake the cobwebs off the NC Cozarts, and I miss her postings. Here's more on this Cozart. Also from the estate papers in the NC archives: Heirs at law for Thomas Oakley, married to Joanna Wood from Granville Co, died about 1837. Heirs at law include Williams Cozart and wife Mary. Census records for Williams and Dicey Carrington Cozart indicate a young male born between 1810-1815. Person Co NC marriage bond dated 8 Dec 1836 for Robason Cozart and Mary Oakley, Green Mangum BM. Mary and mother in brother Anthony's household in 1850; Mary's age given as 30.
Does anyone have anything on a Williams Robertson Cozart?
