There's also record of a marriage bond dated 18 Aug 1826 in Orange Co NC for this couple. The 1820 Person County census lists a Moses Carnal family with a male 10-16 years of age on the same page with several Cozarts, including Benjamin. It is my belief that Rebecca was a daughter of Benjamin Cozart and Sally Reeves, but I am looking for proof. Moses Carnal was a minister, who took his family to Tennessee around 1830, where he died around 1837. I have sons Jeremiah, Isaac and Simeon - also a minister; daughters Rebecca and Mary. Rebecca the widow was head of this household in the 1850 Henderson Co TN census. In 1866, Simeon Carnal married Holly Ridley Cozart, daughter of David Cozart III and Polly Carrington.
