Dear Karen:

In volume V of the Six Volume Cossart Family History it says in reference to Anthony Wayne Casad That "for some unknown and foolish reason changed the spelling of name to Cazad or Casad".
The volumes contain a good deal of information about this Anthony Wayne as he was a prominent citizen with a most interesting life and career. His ancestry is traced in detail all the way back to the original Jacques Cossart, the French Huguenot who fled France to excape religious persecution and settled in Leyden, Holland. His son Jacques was the first of our family to immigrate to New Amsterdam. His children and their birthdates are listed, and perhaps their children.
If you can make a connection to any of his descendants, with the help of the six volumes you would have your ancestry all the way back to 1595.
There is a brief description of the volumes at this site. If you send me your e-mail address to "Landon@San.RR.com", I will send you more info.

Cousin Landon
