I have a Hiram Brinkley Cozart who was unmarried and died in NC ca. 1816. He was the son of James Cozart and Sarah Brinkley. His estate record is on file at NC Dept. of Archives and History. I do not have another Hiram listed, but with a name like that it seems very likely to me that your Hiram is somehow related.
