My mother's family name was Cozart. My Gr-Gr-Grandfather was James M. from Ohio born 7-21-1821. He moved to Harrisburg, Ill., and married Mary M. Cain 8-28-1842. We have info about succeeding generations, but only this small amount about James - no parentage, etc. I do know his ancestors were Hugeonots from an area of France and they fled religious prosecution and finally emigrated to the US (landing where?) from Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands. No specific info on any of this.
