I too am researching Levi Cozart from the PA Maryland area born about 1781, but havent been able to make a connection as to where Levi came from. Old family lore has him as a decendant of Jacques Cossart, but I have followed his children down and can make no connection there. However I did find some onteresting information that I haven't been able to delve into yet. I find that Jacques and Lydia his wife sailed to America from Holland leaving Leyden Holland aboard the Pumberlander Kerch on 10-14-1662. The manifest list Jacques his wife and two children ages 5 and 18 months. However the children that I have is Janet (unknown birth date), Jacques Jr. born 1668, David born 1671 and Anthony born 1673. So three of the four children that I have were born after the sailing date. So who and where did the other child go, and thats assumming that Janet was one of the two children on the ships register.
