Brooklyn, N.Y.He died 1685 Brooklyn, N.Y.He was the son of Jacques
Cossart Sr. born 1595 and his wife Rachael Gelton of Liege (now in Belgium).
They removed to
Amsterdam and later to Leyden, Holland.Jacques the younger and his
wife Lydia [sic] Villeman removed to Frankenthal in Bavaria where their
first three children were baptized.This couple were the first to bear
the name of Cossart to come to the American Colonies, arriving at New
Amsterdam (N.Y.C) in the sailing vessel "Pumerlander Kerck" on October
14, 1662.
