Generations 1. Jacques Cossart, Sr. md. Rachael Gelton 2. Jacques Cossart, Jr. md. Lea/Lydia Villeman Jacques Cossart Jr b. 1639 Leyden, Holland, baptized 29 May 1639, m 14 Aug 1656 Frankenthal, Bavaria, Germany to Lea Villeman, d. c1698 Brooklyn, N.Y. He died 1685 Brooklyn, N.Y. He was the son of Jacques Cossart Sr. born 1595 and his wife Rachael Gelton of Liege (now in Belgium). They removed to Amsterdam and later to Leyden, Holland. Jacques the younger and his wife Lydia [sic] Villeman removed to Frankenthal in Bavaria where their first three children were baptized. This couple were the first to bear the name of Cossart to come to the American Colonies, arriving at New Amsterdam (N.Y.C) in the sailing vessel "Pumerlander Kerck" on October 14, 1662. 3. Elizabeth "Betty" KING b 11 Nov 1847, __ Co?, NC; d ca 1925, Webster Co., KY md William Thomas "Tom" BURTON b 1860, NC; md ca 1860, Webster Co., KY? 9. Ideller "Idella" Catherine BURTON b 1880, KY; d 1950, KY; md Jepp Newton "Jack" ODOM 10. George Cosby ODOM, Sr & Connie Bell WALKER 11. George Cosby ODOM, Jr. & Harriet Aileen ZIMMER [both still living] 12.
