Hiram Cozart died in Person Co. NC summer of 1816, in his estate division named is siblings. His father's will confirmed his naming of his siblings (occured first in 1806). Named by estate division of said Hiram, son of James & Sarah (Brinkley) Cozart.
1. Charlotte (Cozart) Thomson. She and husband, James, living in SC at the time.
2. Hiram who died in 1816
3. Lively Brinkley (Cozart) Horton, married to Wm.
4. Edy Brinkley (Cozart) Lunsford, married to Wm.
5. Jemima (Cozart) Henry, married to Wm. Henry
6. Sarah (Cozart) Horner, married to John Horner.
7. David Brinkley Cozart married Rebecca Watson.
8. Wm. P. Cozart married Elizabeth Ashley, removed to Carroll Co. TN then to Yalobusha Co. MS. I have been contacted by five researchers on this line. Believe pictures exist.
Also in these estate papers filed by Hiram's executor, speaks of James Brinkley & Sarah Brinkley living together before a legal marriage. It clearly states the order of the children, who was born before legal marriage and the ones who were born after the legal marriage. Wm. P. was the youngest child.
