The Thomas Cozart of the 1880 Person County census is my great-grandfather, William Thomas Cozart, who went by the name Thomas or Tom. He was born 23 Feb 1855, and married Elizabeth Oakley (b.29 Apr 1860) on 30 Jun 1879. Their first child was born 9 Jan 1880. In later life she went by the name Ellen ( married William Mose Long). Ida Cozart, sister of William Thomas Cozart, was born 17 Jul 1872. She married Lorenza Jackson Meadows. My mother remembers the shoe store Ida ran in Roxboro.
Parents of William Thomas Cozart were Carrington Cozart and Elise Alice (Ailcey) Parrish.
