I am sorry but I just found your message. I'm afraid I don't get back to these surname genforums as I should. Yes, I found our Hiram's parents and they are my husb.'s line which I am researching for him. His paternal gr.mother was a Caulder, her mother was Ellen Louisa Cozart Caulder. Ellen's parents I have found were James Wm. Cozart & Martha Jane Parker and James's parents were Hiram and Carrie Manerva Armstrong Cozart. And yes, Hiram's parents were Wm. P. and Eliz. Ashley Cozart or so I was told. The thing is, there is a page where a lady has posted that Wm. P. Cozart's wife was a Dicey Carrington. Do you know anything abt. this??? I was told she was Eliz. Ashley and on the census records in Miss., there is Wm. & Eliz. Cozart right next door to Hiram and Manerva so something isn't right here. Was there another Wm. P. Cozart or what???
