Do you know anyone beyond your grandfather? I know it has been a while since your post so this may be a long shot. My GGG-Grandfather was Patrick COYNE son of James COYNE and Hannah GALLAGHER. Patrick was born in Ireland in 1834 but migrated to the US at an early age and settled for most his life in Massachusetts. He was very well known throughout the Dorchester Yacht club and I believe he was buried in Roxbury. He was mostly a resident of City Point, MA. He did receive a handsome testimonial from the Dorchester Yacht club when he saved the lives of several men from the club. I wonder if our COYNE families have any connection here. **Patrick married Elizabeth (Bessie) A. McDonough. Together they had 5 children: John T. COYNE Mary E. COYNE Elizabeth (Bessie) COYNE Patrick COYNE Winifred COYNE I do not know of any siblings that Patrick COYNE Sr. had. I just thought the coincidence that your COYNE family and my COYNE family both spent time in Dorchester MA and Roxbury. **Out of those 5 children: -Mary COYNE had 1 child: John Anthony HAMILTON (My G-Grandfather) -Winifred COYNE had 2 children: Theodore SECKEL Agnes SECKEL -John T. COYNE had several children: Stewart COYNE Elaine L. COYNE Adele C. COYNE Arthur COYNE Grace COYNE Margaret COYNE Bernard COYNE Paul COYNE Again I notice some coincidences with some names (John, Paul, and Elaine) I would love to hear any research you may have gotten done over the past 3 years and if our families happen to match up at all. I have been trying to do research on a COYNE family from Massachusetts so we might be able to help each other. -Dave Hamilton Notify Administrator about this message?
