Looking for information about the family of John COYNE and Margaret McCARTHY. They were married abt/ 1845-1847 probably in Ireland. The couple arrived in New York June 9, 1847, on the ship James Reddon, from Liverpool. Both born in Ireland; John abt 1825 and Margaret abt 1829. They are listed in the 1850 Federal Census: Islip, Suffolk Co., New York with a son Patrick 2 months old. By 1860 they moved to Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, where the family remains 4 generations later. John and Margaret had the following children: Patrick H. July 1850, John 1852-1853, Mary A. 1855, Catherine (Kate) 1857, Elizabeth 1860, Ellen Ann (Ella) April 9, 1862, Margaret 1864, Bridget 1868.
