I recently discovered that my gg grandfather William Coyn was born in Maryland and not PA as I had been led to believe. I have no idea what city.
The 1880 census for DuBois, Clearfield County, PA lists him as 58, a carpenter living with his wife Sarah, 56, born in PA. This census spells the last name as Coyn rather than the Coyne I've been searching for. Mistake or reality?
Known children are Mary Elizbeth, Sarah, and William.
