I found this information very interesting. Thank you! As a Canadian with the surname of Coyne, I am often asked if there's a connection.

Since my husband, Timothy Nigel Robin Coyne (1942-1994) knew of no relatives living in Canada, or the UK, it's been difficult for me to research the genealogy. I have Durham, U.K. as a starting point only and I don't think they were Irish.

Any information would be most appreciated.
