My g-g-grandfather, Thomas Coyne, came to
Brooklyn, NY ca 1848,along with a brother John,
and their mother Catherine. Thomas m. Ann Wilson
ca 1851 in Brooklyn. Thomas and John were both
painters, which made me believe they were probably
from a town rather than a rural area--just a
guess; I have no clues as to where they came from.
Thomas was a volunteer fireman as well; he died
10 January 1889. My father, Robert Coyne, was
born in Brooklyn in 1907. Any possible connection?
