Casper Coxen was the son of William and Anna Coxen or Gocksen. He was Christened 28 Aug 1757. His mother Anna was the daughter of Casper Elliker of Huntington Twp., York Co., PA. who died in 1766. Anna died before 1761.

He appears in the 1780 tax list in Reading Twp. as Casper Cox.
He is in the tax lists of Paradise Twp. as Jasper Goax, weaver in 1781, Casper Cox (but listed with the G's) in 1782, and Casper Gox in 1783. No land is listed until 1783, when he has six acres.
