My father collected considerable information about the George Coxons. George and Mary Dotchin? came to Austraia from Durham in 1857 with 7 children Ann Coxon(Stamp), Mary Coxon (Milburn) John Coxon,George Coxon Elizabeth Coxon Francis Joseph Coxon Hannah Coxon (all born Newcastle on tyne where George was a mining engineer.)and my great-great grandfather James Edward Coxon was later born at Ballarat Victoria. They later moved through New South Wales to Central Queensland. Other associated families are Avery's, Mott's, Milburn's and later Fraser, Macaree.
I would be interested to see if there was any connection with other Coxon families.
