Below is James Pease and his wife Mary Jane Cox based on records of Michigan. I'm not sure if her parents are as listed and am hoping anyone who might also be a descendant of Henry and Rhoda might know of her.

James Pease; m. Elyn Larign [spelling on son’s marriage record]. One child of James and Elyn (Larign) Pease born in Ohio:

James Pease born about 1852 in OH; m. May 12, 1888 in Cooper, Kalamazoo Co, MI Mary Jane Cox; b. Jan 1859 in Cooper, MI. She was the daughter of Henry Cox; b. about 1812 in NY and Rhoda; b. about 1819 in NY. On their marriage record James was listed as a resident of Cooper, MI and Mary residing in Alamo, MI. Her father was listed as William Cox; her mother as “unknown”. But census records show her as being the daughter of Henry and Rhoda. She did have a brother named William. During the 1900 census Mary listed as being married was a house servant in the Charles James household in Alamo, Kalamazoo County, MI. She was credited with being the mother of one child not living. In 1910 she was still married and working as a house servant in the Charles Larkin household on East Lowell Street in the 4th Ward of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County. In 1920 there was a Mary J. Pease age 60, single listed as an inmate on Grosvenor Cottage Colony Farm of the Kalamazoo State Hospital. She was working in the kitchen. Both of her parents were born in NY. In 1930 she was listed as being married and a patient of the Michigan Asylum for the Insane at the Kalamazoo State Hospital on Oakland Drive in Kalamazoo. In the same hospital there was a patient listed as a widow named Jean H. Pease age 59; b. in Michigan; father born in Scotland

Rick in Taunton, MA
