Deceased Name: C. Ray Cox
March 18, 1931 - Nov. 14, 2007
C. Ray Cox, 76, of Hunts-
ville died Wednesday at a lo-
cal hospital.
Mr. Cox was an active
member of Lakewood United
Methodist Church for 44
years. He was a 1957 Auburn
University graduate in indus-
trial engineering. He served
in the U.S. Navy during the
Korean War. He retired from
the U.S. Army Missile Com-
mand at Redstone Arsenal.
He is survived by his wife
of 50 years, Kay Cox; two
sons, Mike Cox and wife, Dar-
by, of Cookeville, Tenn., and
Steve Cox and wife, Vickie, of
Snellville, Ga.; and three
grandchildren, Jessica Cox
and Brent Cox of Cookeville
and Tori Cox of Snellville.
Arrangements are being
handled by Spry Funeral
Home of Huntsville, where
the family will receive
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. to-
day. Funeral services will be
at Lakewood United Method-
ist at 11 a.m. Saturday with
the Rev. Jerry Reeder and
the Rev. Jeff Havens officiat-
ing. Interment will be at Ma-
ple Hill Cemetery.
