Deceased Name: COX, COY OAKLEY
COX, COY OAKLEY, age 68, of Ashville died January 24, 2006. He was foreman and grade checker many years in road construction. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren with all his heart. The last few years he enjoyed selling produce. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.W. and Connie Cox, brother, Lelus Cox, sister, Eva Cox Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Alene Jewel Bowlin Cox; 3 daughters, Melissa Fay Cox (Paul) Cline, Melinda Kay Cox (Bruce) Moses, Arlene Janel Cox (Barry) Shiflett; 3 sons, Coy Mack (Betty) Cox, James Oliver (Sherrie) Cox, William Mark (Jackie) Cox; sister, Lillian B. (Whitt) Whitten, brother, Floyd Mack Cox; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jerry Melvin, Jeff Melvin, Greg Martin, Harvey Beatty, Phillip Trousdale and Buddy Farrow. Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Ashville Church of God. The body will lie in state from 12 until 1 p.m. Interment at Ashville Cemetery. Rev. Richard Ashley officiating. Visitation is Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Pell City, directing.
