Kate Ellen Cox born approx. May 18, 1884 Mercer Co. Mo, daugher of James F. Cox and Amanda Red (Goodin) Cox. William V. Brummett born approx. July 13, 1882 in Mercer Co. Mo. son of Columbus B. Brummett and Rebecca Jane (Phipps) Brummett. Kate Ellen Cox and William V. Brummett married July 3 or 4th, 1901 in Mercer Co. Mo. They had 1 son, Ray, born about 1905 assumed in Mercer Co. MO. Kate Ellen died between 1905 and 1910, assumed in Mercer Co. Mo. William V. Brummett remarried between 1910 and 1920 to Estella (nee Laughlin) Girdner. In the 1920 census. William V. and Estella Brummett are shown living in Buchanan Co. Mo. while Ray is living with his Brummett grandparents in Mercer Co. Mo. In the 1930 census, William V. and Estella are living in Des Moines, Polk Co. Ia with his son, Ray, living with them. I have no further information on them. Does anyone know when Kate Ellen died or where she is buried? There are no cemetery records on her burial. Or better yet, an old photo of Kate Ellen. Kate would have been my dad's great-aunt.
