You'll find lots of info available for this Richard Cox and Mary Trent. Richard was the half-brother of my ancestor, Bartholomew Cox. Richard's parents were John Cox and his second wife Mary Kennon (Richard was John's only child by Mary). John Cox (c1640-1697) was the son of William Cox(e) and Elizabeth (Hutchins?). William arrived in Jamestown, VA aboard the ship Godspeed in 1610. The Godspeed was one of the three ships that brought the original settlers to Jamestown in 1607 as well, and there's a full-scale replica of it docked at Jamestown today.

Anyway, please email me directly at mtaunton@mindspring.com, and I'll be happy to send you lots of additional info on this line.

Michelle
