I am trying to help my daughter find information on her family.
I am looking for any and all information on a Leona Cox who married Christopher C. Earls. the date filed was 1-7-1918 Lefore Co. Oklahoma.
They lived in Summerfield LeFlore, Okahoma in 1920 and had a son Jessie W. Earls. they were still living in Summerfield in 1930 and had these children Jesse W. Earls, Dalphas D. Earls, Graves W. Earls, and Elmer K. Earls.
Family legan has it that Leona Cox was Cherokee Indain or Choc Taw Indain, either full or half. Do not know if this is true or not.
