I cannot tell you how much we appreciate the information forwarded to us about Roy's grandfather. I will pass along some information that we have on Samuel. He is buried in the Myers-Hudgins Cemetary in the Neely's Bend Community of Madison, Tennessee. The cemetary is located on property where the house my husband grew up in is located. I had done some research and couldn't find anything past Samuel on that side of the family. Do you have any dates of Joseph's death? Or do you have any other listings of Hudgins past Joseph? We want to take a trip down (only about 30 miles) to the cemetary and take some pictures. Roy's mother and father (Joe Hudgins) are buried at Springhill and we are not far from either cemetary. Joe Hudgins was the only child that Elizabeth Myers Hudgins had to live past the age of 4 years. Several of the gravesites we located there were for small children which didn't live long. We are curious how far you are from Nashville, and absolutely want to keep in touch.
