Looking for anyone with connections to the Cowley line from County Sligo, Ireland, ca 1820's. My 4-th great grandfather is Stephen Cowley, b 1823 in County Sligo, Ireland, the son of Martin Cowley and Mary Doherty. Stephen married Mary Rouse (b. 1829, Ireland). Stephen and Mary moved to the U.S. in the mid 1850's, settling in Dansville, NY. Stephen and Mary had 8 children - Patrick (b. 4 mar 1852, County Sligo, Ireland), Martin James (b. 9 Apr 1854, County Sligo, Ireland, d. 26 Dec 1928, Dansville, NY), Maria (b. 1857, NY), Michael (b. 1859, NY, d. 8 Dec 1902, Buffalo, NY), Bridget Elizabeth (b. 22 Jul 1861, Dansville, NY, d. 24 Nov 1922), Catherine Grace (b. 8 Jan 1964,Danville, NY, d. 19 Apr 1930, Buffalo, NY), Anna (b. 1866, d. 20 Apr 1872, Dansville, NY) and Stephen James (b. 1 Jan 1869, Dansville, NY, d. Apr 1946, Dansville, NY). Martin married Flora E. White, Bridget married John Mahany, Catherine married Franklin John Patterson and Stephen married Minnie Sattora. I am related by way of Martin and Flora.
